The Boxer, Dancer and London Nightclubs

Joe Calzaghe has been in the news recently with his Strictly Come Dancing partner Kristina Rihanoff. As with all juicy stories it’s about their relationship. And this relationship has played itself out in part on the London nightclub scene.

The story behind the story

Joe Calzaghe previously dated Jo-Emma for 5 years, a Glamour model who he met a after he split from his ex-wife, Mandy. Here’s a picture of Jo and Jo-Emma together:

After splitting up with Jo-Emma, Calzaghe was paired on Strictly Come Dancing with Kristina Rihanoff. At first they said they were just friends, but had some very flattering things to say about each other…

‘He’s everything I look for in a man – handsome and charming with an amazing muscular body.’ – Kristina

‘Kristina’s absolutely gorgeous.’ -Joe

Meanwhile, she has compared being paired with Calzaghe as like ‘winning the lottery’.

And whilst this was going on boxer Calzaghe banned ex-girlfriend Jo-Emma from attending the show, saying she would ‘put him off’.

Fast forward and Jo and Kristina have been spotted in a number of top London night clubs being very “friendly” to each other.

Embassy

A bit about Embassy

Embassy’s a well established London club which opened in 2001. Named after the infamous 80′s Embassy Club it’s been featured in many a newspaper and magazine. Set over two floors the venue is able to accommodate over 400 people.

The day before Kristina’s 32nd birthday they were spotted leaving the Embassy nightclub together at 2am. And it was reported in the mirror that “hours earlier, former boxing champ Joe was spotted looking furtive as the couple sneaked out of Kristina’s flat in West London separately.”

Whisky Mist

A bit about Whisky Mist

Since a model cried ‘rape’ there, Whisky Mist, according to Fashion Thing, is being referred to colloquially as Risky P***ed. (Please note this is not the view of The Guestlist Club)

Whisky Mist is bought to us by the same chaps that own Mahiki. You are able to join Whisky Mist as a member but it isn’t members’ only. It’s also regularly visited by A-listers and Royals.

Jo, Kristina and Whiskey Mist

Jo got turned down for a VIP table in Whisky Mist’s Luxe Room because model Alice Dellal had been given the last one. The London Evening Standard was told “They were with a couple of pals, but were clearly into each other. They weren’t being one of those sickly couples all over each other, but they were cuddling, flirting and kissing a bit.” and “They were obviously danced out by all the training. Kristina spent most of the time chatting, although they did have a couple of dances. She looked really happy when a magnum of champagne arrived.”

At the end of the night the pair headed back to a private address in west London fueling rumors further.

Disco 24 previously 24:London carved a name out for itself when it launched due to it’s state of the art walls. By dancing, moving or even putting your hands up in the air, the visuals interact and move with you.

Recently spotted down Disco 24 – This wasn’t reported in any papers that we (The Guestlist Club) came across, we heard about it from one of the Disco 24 event managers.

Mahiki

A bit about Mahiki

As described on the Mahiki website:

Jo and Mahiki

Joe was seen in Mahiki on Saturday without Kristina but there is a twist to the story, according to the London Lite (they were informed by a fellow clubber) “Joe was acting like a single man. He was getting a lot of attention from different girls, and was acting like a child in a candy shop.”
They further describe how Jo was being approached by lots of pretty girls – “They were sitting with other pals, but their table must have got through at least five Treasure Chest cocktails, and they were both doing shots of Patrón Tequila and drinking champagne. Lots of pretty girls were approaching Joe, and he seemed thrilled when each new one arrived.””

Their source continues… “Joe was dancing with quite a few different girls and touching their bodies.”

What will happen next?

The couple have been snapped holding hands and cuddling, they’ve also been spotted snogging in various nightclubs around London but what’s next for the couple when the music stops playing, will the spark still be there?
