Location

The club is located within the Park Lane Hilton Hotel, in the heart of the Mayfair district of London, and has held nothing back to lure the glitterati; indeed, at first glance, the club impresses the eye. The statement by the club owners appears to be one of complete individuality and separation from the esteemed hotel, and access is via an independent entrance, stamping its individuality to all its visitors.

Judging by the length of the member’s waiting list, and with access for non-members restricted by numbers, the club certainly looks to be developing a positive reputation, and has become a ‘destination’ in its own right.
Membership and Guest Accessibility:

Decidedly masculine in its initial appearance, the club has a mix of masculine and feminine themes through the colors and hues of its interior décor. The club owners have veered away from the usual youthful crowd of clubbers and have set its stall out to appeal to the older set, while still retaining an air of sophistication.

While neither membership nor casual entrance is restricted to the mega-wealthy or jet-setting elite, the interior and general feel of the club as a whole shouts the word “money” loud and clear.

Guest List

Accessing the club via a separate entrance from the hotel, it has attracted the likes of George Clooney to name but one celebrity and several members of the UK and European royal families. However, it is not intended to be a club only for the jet-set, royals and celebrity A-listers.

For a flat fee of only 15 pounds, non-members can access the club. However, access to certain guest areas is restricted to members only, which is something one would expect from a club with a reputation to uphold.

Décor, Style and Atmosphere

The interior décor is a match of feminine and masculine themes and hues, although it is definitely weighted in favor of men. The club is clearly aimed at a more moneyed and sophisticated market. This is a club that will go on and on, and will not be what is known as one of the trendy, fashionable clubs that are here today but change its theme and name tomorrow.

Dress Code

While the club is not members only, and there is no restriction on membership other than being able to afford it, there is a strict dress code for both male and female guests. Once inside the grand portals of this decidedly sophisticated establishment, however, the atmosphere is definitely relaxed.

This club is not one for letting ones hair down and screaming at others like some West End clubs, and this is reflected in the prices of some of the drinks available in the club. But for a club offering this level of sophistication, service and privacy, one has to expect high prices.

Whisky Mist has started off as it means to go on, and whilst it’s not the very best club in London, it definitely has its plus points.
