News From Chinawhite:

We are delighted to announce that Chinawhite will be part of this year’s Henley Festival, from Wednesday 6th – Sunday 10th July. The black-tie festival is an extraordinary mix of music, art, culture and dining on the banks of the River Thames in Oxfordshire. This year’s line-up includes an amazing mix of artists ranging from Tom Jones to Jools Holland and from Alexandra Burke to the Abba Symphonic!

In true Chinawhite style we will be providing a first for the festival – a nightclub tent with sounds from our own resident DJs with some very special guests and performances. Entry to the Chinawhite tent is included within the festival ticket price however capacity is limited; if you are planning on attending the festival do let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you. We will have a number of tables that can be reserved each night for members.

Members of Chinawhite are entitled to one free ticket for every 3 purchased for Thursday and one free ticket for every 9 purchased for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Please note that this offer excludes the opening night of the festival (Wednesday 6th July) and the group tickets must all be for the same night at the festival and of the same ticket type. All tickets are subject to availability. You should quote “CW2011” when making your booking and have your Chinawhite membership number at hand.

We strongly advise booking your tickets as soon as possible; several nights at the festival are already close to selling out!

THURSDAY 5th April; We welcome back the lovely guys from Hare Styling (www.harestyling.com) following another gallery event in conjunction with Great Ormond Street. Zeb Wayne spins

FRIDAY 6th April; After an amazing night last week, we’ve invited Danny Healy to play for us again. Support comes from Marvyn in the VIP room.

SATURDAY 7th April; As always, please ensure you RSVP early for guestlist. 3 rooms of great music provided by Relph, Simba and Preston.

That’s right 4 Winsley Street!

I mention this because occasionally there’s some confusion over the the address.

Why?

The club used to be at 6 Air Street you see! Near Piccadilly Circus.

And if you ask a driver to take you to the club, a few will take you to the old address. You obviously don’t want to get dumped in the wrong place.

One way to get around this is ask your driver to take you to Oxford Circus, from there it’s a two minute walk.

Or ensure the driver has the full address:

The Winsley Street venue is larger than the old venue, and has equal if not more appeal.

Thank you all for joining us over the Easter week, Thursday’s Mad Hatter’s party was a definite hit judging by the number of hats whilst Saturday was an amazing night with plenty of familiar faces! With another double bank holiday ahead we are expecting a busy week.

WEDNESDAY 27th of April; The Sanghamitra Aperitivo party launches tonight. We will be open from 9.30pm every Wednesday for delicious complimentary Aperitivo in true Italian Style. DJs Aryo Jaxx and Fabrizia debut.

THURSDAY 28th of April; On the eve of the Royal nuptials we celebrate in the restaurant with our Royal Wedding menu (see below) and in the club with our ‘Right Royal Send Off’ party in association with Ayhnoe Park. DJ supremo Rusty Egan will be providing the soundtrack and there will be a few surprises in the air….

FRIDAY 29th of April; Danny Healy returns for a guest set, fresh from playing Okku in Dubai.

SATURDAY 30th of April; Last week saw what seemed to be most of London’s social scene at the club and we were packed to the rafters. This week looks like being the same so please ensure you book your tables and guestlist promptly.

This week’s Royal Wedding Set Menu in the restaurant includes dishes such as ‘Eggs Royale, Steamed Duck Egg, Cured Balmoral Salmon’, ‘William Pear, Berkshire Ham Hough, Mustard Crown Jewels’ and ‘Hampton Court Hanger Steak, Horseradish & Watercress, Fries’. Places are limited and we are offering a £30 per head 3 course set menu including a champagne cocktail.

You may have heard of them already. If not and you’re looking for information on the best nightclub to go to on a Wednesday then you’ve come to the right place:

• Film premieres
• Top DJs (Sam Young the resident DJ won the ‘Best DJ’ at the last London Club and Bar Awards)

• Fun loving crowd

Whether you’re new to London or a long time clubber it’s important to know which clubs are the best for each night during the week. And Wednesdays it’s known to be Chinawhite.

The Wednesday night started to gain in popularity during the days when Chinawhite was on Air Street (the club’s currently located on Winsley Street, just off Oxford Street). It became so popular it was near impossible to get in. Back in those days the club’s capacity was a lot less. Now it’s helped because the venue is larger — holds up to 500 guests.

And whilst the club is still the most popular in London, it has the room to accommodate more people.

Wednesdays draw a different crowd than a Saturday, whilst a large proportion of London clubbers work during the week or run businesses during the week, music, film stars, models and other members of the fashion industry, often go out all nights of the week.

Here’s the thing. That’s good for the few exclusive clubs that attract that crowd — such as Chinawhite — as it ensures that a party crowd is out to have fun on a Wednesday.

The dress code is the same during the week as it is at weekends — standards don’t drop. It’s smart/trendy. So no sportsware, even if you’re a professional sports person — I’m sure you enjoy getting dress up as much as the rest of us.

The music policy is ‘open’. That means there’s a mix of music from House, to RnB, to Dance, anything to get you moving on the dance floor.

The club opens at 10pm, and it’s recommended to arrive early. 10:30pm is the best time. It’s good to make the most out of the party anyway, wouldn’t you say?

There’s also the option of a table. This can be a lot of fun with bottle service and a queue jump — no need to go to the bar to get drinks. And is required for groups over 12 in size.

In summery, when picking a club for a Wednesday night there’s only one REAL choice. Chinawhite. It’s got the best crowd, best atmosphere, and best reputation. It comes highly recommended.

We are delighted to announce our annual summer gathering at The Cartier International Polo on Sunday 24th July at Guards Polo Club, Windsor Great Park.

Over the past 10 years, the combination of international superstar DJs alongside jaw dropping aerial circus displays, burlesque carousel performances, rock and roll violin concertos, lasers, snow machines and fireworks has ensured that the Chinawhite enclosure is now firmly established as the party of the summer. 2011 is set to be no exception with a celebration of 100 years of The Coronation Cup International Polo.

WEDNESDAY 13th April; We welcome Zurich’s Encore club and their resident DJ Whiz Kid for an exclusive set. Also expected, 50 Cent’s new protégé Mann, pushing his new track ‘Buzzin’!

THURSDAY 14th April; Thank you to everyone who came to last week’s charity event and raised a great amount for the Lily Foundation! This week we hold an after party for The Hare Styling Exhibition (www.harestyling.com) in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital and another European Business School networking event.

FRIDAY 15th April; The return of DJ Ollie Humphreys (Baoli resident) for another set with a South of France feel. Support comes from Marvyn Williams in the VIP.

SATURDAY 16th April; We welcome DJ Chad Tyson fresh from playing at Dubai’s hottest club, Okku. The VIP room is kept on its toes by Nathalie, whilst Guy Preston, fresh from playing in LA, returns to the Temple Room.

FRIDAY 8th April; The weekend starts here with Marvyn, Nathalie and Sam providing 3 rooms of great music to an amazing crowd. Guest list essential

SATURDAY 9th April; We round up the week with another capacity night, please arrive early! Henry Relph and co provide the best tracks.

Johny Flame… And Team Lineker

Once again we had a fantastic week and despite the horrendous rain, Saturday was a complete sell out with some great guests! Not only did Chris Evans (Johnny Flame from the Fantastic Four films, not the flame haired DJ) decide to grace our dance floor but father and son team, Gary and George Lineker turned out to be hip hop fans and held court for the night in the Temple Room.

The Fast Show

Last Thursday we held our second member’s party which had a great turnout with performances from comedian Simon Day (The Fast Show), Harper Simon (son of the legendary Paul Simon) and BRIT award winner Beth Orton. This week we have an early party again for Oxford University’s Vincent’s Appeal and we follow on with DJ / producer Zeb Wayne playing another of his party sets. Next week sees our first party in conjunction with Internations so keep an eye out for the full details.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps After Party

Friday night sees the opening of the film Wall Street; Money Never Sleeps and we are delighted to be teaming up with Medicinema (medicinema.org.uk) and BAFTA to host the after party for their fundraiser in the club. We also have an early start for our Hope for Children charity event so the night is going to be exceptionally busy early on. DJ Danny Healy will be returning for another guest set with support from DJ Marvyn (Shipwrecked) in the VIP room and Nathalie Morel in the Temple Room.

Always Oversubscribed

We round up the weekend on Saturday with no doubt another sold out night. Music is being supplied by Henry Relph and the lovely Nathalie in the VIP room, whilst DJ Simba plays Hip Hop, R+B and party tunes in the Temple Room. Saturday is always oversubscribed so please ensure you arrive early, appropriately dressed and with ID if you are lucky and look young enough to need it. As per usual Chinawhite pull out all the stops and become the center of the social scene in London…

We were really proud to have been running the after party at The Grosvenor House Hotel for The British Olympic Ball last Friday; with guests ranging from Prince Harry to Steve Redgrave and performances from Mark Ronson and Jamie Callum, all were enjoying the Chinawhite hospitality! Furthermore, we are also delighted that the Chinawhite team won the Stoke Park Club Cup Invitational Golf Tournament on Sunday!! Well done to all concerned.

We have an exceptionally busy week ahead with some great parties and 3 more guest DJ sets….

We start off on Wednesday with a huge party for the cast, presenters and judges of ‘Britain’s Next Top Model’. This is the last night that they are all together before shooting the final episode. We are also hosting the after party for the 10th year anniversary party of Sparks (the Children’s Medical Research Charity) Fashion Show. This year’s annual Fashion Show is hosted by Lisa Butcher and guests include Carole Malone, Ray Clemence and Jeremy Sheffield so the after party at the club should be great fun! To entertain everyone we have another top guest DJ from LA, DJ Fashen, who has supported the likes of Kanye to Snoop and also won West Coast DJ of the year.

We have an early start on Thursday with The Lotus Outreach Charity Event. There are performances from comedian Simon Day and singer-songwriter Harper Simon plus a guest DJ set from Antz, one of Ibiza’s finest. Entry to the event, which starts at 7.30pm is £35 (with a contribution to the charity) but we do have a limited number of complimentary spaces for members, so please RSVP straight away.

We kick the weekend off with another guest DJ from the US in the shape of Ross One. A resident of Butter in NYC, LIV in Miami and also TAO in Vegas, Ross One spends almost as much time travelling as he does playing!!! Sam Young, Nathalie Morel and Dan Brown all provide support so there will be something for everyone!

We round up the week with the after party for the GoreZone magazine awards. Following on from the awards ceremony, after 2 days of exclusive screenings of the top horror films of 2010 in The Prince Charles Cinema, all the winners will be enjoying our unique Chinawhite hospitality. Henry Relph will be playing the main room, in his own inimitable style, whilst Nathalie Morel will be playing the VIP room. Finally DJ Simba plays the best Hip Hop, R+B and party tunes in the Temple Room. Saturday is always oversubscribed so please ensure you arrive early, appropriately dressed and with ID if you are lucky and look young enough to need it.

Put Me On The Chinawhite Guestlist

So London Fashion Week is drawing to a close and we’ve had a fantastic week of parties that hopefully some of you managed to enjoy!

Last week we held premiere parties for “The Other Guys” and “The Kid”. Both parties were attended by all the lead actors so it was a who’s who of Hollywood stars as well as some of our own home grown talent. Our favourites Will Ferrell, Eva Mendes and Mark Wahlberg all took time to mingle on Tuesday, whilst on Wednesday Nick Moran celebrated his premiere in true style, with what seemed to be a reunion of the cast of Lock Stock and even the legend that is Barbara Windsor put in an appearance! Thanks to amazing sets from our special guest DJs from New York, Harley Viera-Newton, JusSKE and Josh Madden we’ve booked in DJs Ross 1 and Fashen for next week…..

We kick off this week with a closing party for London Fashion Week hosted by Londonparties with music provided by Sam Young. With the last LFW shows today including Topman Design, Ozwald Boateng and a huge premiership game, we are expecting an exceptionally busy night.

Last Thursday’s end of season polo party was a roaring success and we also had visit from Professor Green and The Sugababes. Tomorrow should be just as fun with resident Zeb Wayne playing a trademark party set.

On Friday Chinawhite are delighted to be running the after-party at The Grosvenor House Hotel for The British Olympic Ball. Raising much needed funds for Team GB for the 2012 Olympics and presented by British Telecom, an audience of the great and the good will be treated to performances by Mark Ronson, Jamie Cullum and the Sugababes. We’ll let you know how we get on next week!

We finish the week off on Saturday, following on from last weeks huge night we are expecting a great turnout yet again with residents Henry Relph and Nathalie Morel being supported by DJ Simba playing the best R+B, Hip Hop and party tunes in the Temple Room.
